12/11/2012

RCMRCOG Logo This programme developing jointly between Rotary and the Aga Khan Hospital in Kenya opens up opportunities for Curriculum Development for Midwives and Community Health Activists in the area of Maternal and Child Mortality. They are looking for a Senior Rotarian with Medical/ Nursing Background and up to four Senior Nurse / Midwife Educationalists with largely academic background. There is more information at this link to a New York Times story about AKU’s work and research in training “lady health workers” – non-medical workers trained on simple life-saving skills to help in saving newborns’ lives:

They are seeking senior midwife educationists who may be interested to go to Kenya for the period of around a month.

Expenses will be paid by the Rotary Grant.

This is an exciting opportunity to share experience with colleagues in Kenya in curriculum development.
